Center for Integrated Healthcare - A VA OMHS Center of Excellence

The Center for Integrated Healthcare (CIH) was established by VA to improve the health of Veterans by improving the screening and treatment of mental health and substance abuse problems in the primary care setting.  Integrating mental health services into the primary care setting is a viable and efficient way of ensuring that Veterans have access to needed services.  Mental health care delivered in the primary care setting can also help to reduce stigma and improve access to care.

Our principle focus is on co-located collaborative care (CCC), a model of integrated primary care where mental health providers work side-by-side with medical primary care providers.  For additional information follow the links below:
