What Is the VITAL Initiative?
Mental Health Services
Students use computers in a computer lab.

Many VITAL sites offer a range of mental health and counseling services on campus. These services range from helping with stress and time management, to assessment and treatment of clinical conditions, such as PTSD, depression, or insomnia.

If VITAL staff is unable to help on campus, they are able to help coordinate those services at your local VA hospital/clinic or community partners.

  • Sleep issues

  • Adjustment

  • Stress

  • PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder)

  • Depression

  • Substance use

  • Anxiety

  • TBI (traumatic brain injuries)
