Even if a Veteran feels fit, deployment and military careers can take a toll. We want to help ensure that Veterans are receiving the best support possible that they have earned by serving their country. We do this by helping the Veteran navigate the VA and other systems, so opportunities that can support educational and career pursuits are not missed. Here are some of the ways we can help. If you require a service or help not listed, please contact your local VITAL staff to see how we can help.

Colleges and universities are required to have disability services on campus to support each individual’s specific needs. These needs can range from hearing and visual impairment to psychological concerns. Many VITAL sites may be able to set up time to talk with you to find out your needs and help you obtain the necessary documentation required to receive academic accommodations. This could involve working with campus services to see if you meet the requirements or criteria to receive assistance such as:
Assistive Technology Devices
(hearing aids, screen-reader software, SmartPens)
